This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/ accused, seeking a direction for expeditious disposal of C.C.No.275 of 2016 on the file of the II Additional Junior Civil Judge, Kothagudem.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/ accused, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the 1st respondent-State and perused the record.

As per the material placed before this Court, initially, the Calendar Case was assigned C.C.No.77 of 2012 on the file of the II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kothagudem, on a report lodged with the police on 12.12.2011. The criminal proceedings are required to be disposed of expeditiously. The Calendar Case pertains to the year 2012. Naturally, the petitioners/ accused has a right to seek early disposal of the case. Under these circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of this Criminal Petition with appropriate direction to the Court below.

Accordingly, the learned II Additional Junior Civil Judge, Kothagudem, is directed to complete the trial and pronounce the judgment in C.C.No.275 of 2016 pending on its file, within a

- 2 - period of four (04) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Criminal Petition is disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
