HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 18458 of 2010 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India challenging the order dated 24.12.2003 in I.D.No.87 of 2001 passed by the 3rd respondent - Labour Court, whereby the respondent corporation was directed to treat fresh appointment of the petitionerworkman as reinstatement into service with continuity of service, but without back wages and attendant benefits.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner-workman that the petitioner - workman was reinstated and he had retired from service. In view of the same, this writ petition cannot be adjudicated on merits, as the respondent corporation has already complied with the orders passed by the Labour Court.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
