THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.1899 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the second respondent in not conducting investigation pursuant to the registration of Crime No.3 of 2017 on the file of P.S., Women (City), Warangal, Warangal District, against the respondents 3 to 7.

This Court issued 'Notice Before Admission' on 30.01.2017 and no counter affidavit is filed by the unofficial respondents. However, the second respondent filed a counter affidavit stating that the petitioner approached the police of Woman Police Station, Warangal City, and lodged a complaint on 06.01.2017 at 20.30 hours stating that her marriage was performed with the son of the third respondent on 20.04.2014. Thereafter, disputes arose and there was a demand for dowry. Basing on the said complaint, Crime No.3 of 2017 was registered on 06.01.2017 against the unofficial respondents and investigation was taken up. As part of the investigation, a letter was addressed on 07.01.

2017 to the Commissioner of Police, Warangal City, requesting him to address a letter to all the Immigration Officers in India to issue 'Look Out Circular' against the first accused, husband of the petitioner, who is staying in New Berry of UK (London) County. The said accused appeared before the investigating officer. The investigation is under progress. The investigation is pending for want of examination of some more witnesses and for collection of material evidence. It is also assured that the investigation would be completed as expeditiously as possible and an appropriate report under Section 173 would be filed at the earliest.

In view of the above statements made in the counter affidavit, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to complete the

investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible, not later than three months, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
