The petitioners-Accused filed the present application praying this Court to quash the proceedings in PRC No.199 of 2021 which is pending on the file of I AJCJ Cum XV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad against the petitioners on the ground of compromise.

As seen from the charge sheet, five witnesses, who are LW1 to LW5 are shown as injured. The charge sheet reflects that LW1 to LW4 received bleeding injuries.

Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of State of Madhya Pradesh vs. Laxmi Narayan1 held that serious offences such as Section 307 IPC cannot be quashed on the ground of compromise.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. 1 (2019) 5 SCC 688

Parties are at liberty to make an endeavor before the trial Court for compromise.
