THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 29836 OF 2017 O R D E R:

This Writ Petition is filed to declare the action of the respondent police in not following the mandatory provisions for conducting investigation into F.I.R. No. 732 of 2012 dated 08.11.2012 as arbitrary and illegal.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) has placed on record the written instructions obtained from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Jawaharnagar Police Station, wherein it has been stated that during the course of investigation into Crime No. 732 of 2012, necessary notices have been issued under Section 91/160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure on 21.04.2017 to the petitioner/complainant and further investigation is on. In view of the above, since the crime was registered in 2012, the respondent police are directed to complete the investigation within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file the necessary charge sheet/final report. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall stand closed.
