THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.1470 OF 2008 ORDER:

The writ petition was filed challenging the Circular No.314, dated 01.12.2007 and the consequential Circular No.316, dated 03.12.2007 regarding the promotion policy, as illegal and void. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that after filing the counter affidavit, the promotion policy was changed with effect from 2012 and promotions were also effected pursuant to the changed promotion policy. In view of the same, nothing survives for consideration in the present writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. However, if the petitioner has any grievance, it is open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
