THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.33990 OF 2016 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ or order more particularly, one in the nature of writ of mandamus to declare the action on the part of respondent No.2 - The Superintendent of Police, Y.S.R.Kadapa District in not registering the report of petitioner's son, which was sent to him through registered post on 19.3.2016, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, to direct respondent Nos.1 and 2 to get the said report registered and entrust the investigation thereof to C.B.C.I.D., or to any other investigation agency, which is not subordinate to respondent No.2. 2.
Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.
Admittedly, a representation was made by the son of the petitioner to respondent No.2 on 19.3.2016 requesting him to take against the Sub Inspector of Police, Kodur Police Station and others and the same was not disposed of till date. Considering all the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that when a representation is made by an aggrieved person against the officers who are under the control of respondent No.2, it is the duty of respondent No.2 to dispose of the same in accordance with law. Hence, respondent No.2 is hereby directed to dispose of the representation, dated 19.3.2016, filed by the son of the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
