THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI CONTEMPT CASE No.1309 OF 2019 O R D E R :

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents informed the Court that pursuant to the order dt.21.02.2019 passed by this Court in W.P.No.1980 of 2019, the case of the petitioner was considered and he was appointed as Village Revenue Officer (VRO) vide proceedings dt.11.11.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is entitled to be considered for appointment as VRO with retrospective effect i.e., 2011 onwards.

In view of the above said submissions, the Contempt Case is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings dated 11.11.2019, it is always open for him to challenge the said proceedings seeking appointment as VRO with retrospective effect by filing appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
