This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in releasing compensation to the petitioner for the land acquired for the purpose of road widening, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition (A.P.) representing respondent Nos.1 to 4.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband purchased an extent of 210 square yards of land situated at Kanumolu Village, Hanuman Junction Mandal, Krishna District, under a registered sale deed dated 27.06.1951. The petitioner succeeded the property after the death of her husband on 17.01.2007. The Government issued a Notification No.111/12(1) proposing to acquire an extent of 66.667 square yards for the purpose of road widening.

Learned Government Pleader submitted that the Government acquired the land of the petitioner. It appears that the fifth respondent filed objections before the third respondent. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted a representation to respondent Nos.2 and 3 on 16.07.2016.

Learned Government Pleader submitted that the representation of the petitioner is pending before respondent Nos.2 and 3.

The only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner is to direct respondent Nos.2 and 3 to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2016. 8.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, respondent Nos.2 and 3 are hereby directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2016 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 10.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. _________________________ T. SUNIL CHOWDARY, J Date: 20.04.2018 Ivd
