THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTI CE B. SI VA SANKARA RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.689 of 2016 ORDER: (per Justice Sanjay Kumar) This contempt case was instituted alleging wilful disobedience to the order dated 17.11.2014 passed by this Court in W.A.No.1499 of 2014. By the said order, this Court directed the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation to reinstate the appellant with continuity of service and attendant benefits and pay backwages to the extent of 75%. A copy of the proceedings of the Depot Manager, APSRTC, Rajampet Depot, dated 28.12.2016, is produced before us whereunder the petitioner was paid a sum of Rs.4,20,483/- towards 75% of the backwages in terms of the order passed by this Court. It is not in dispute that she has already been reinstated in service with continuity of service and attendant benefits.

That being so, we find no grounds to infer any disobedience, much less wilful disobedience, warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction. The contempt case is accordingly closed.
