VRS, J & TR, J W.P.No.24266 of 2017 HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE T. RAJANI Writ Petition No.24266 of 2017 ORDER: (V. Ramasubramanian, J) The application of the petitioner for admission to MBBS and BDS course for the current academic year was not entertained on the short ground that the fee of Rs.2,500/- payable for counselling/ certificate verification was not paid, forcing the petitioner to come up with the above writ petition.

2. At the when the writ petition came up for admission on 21-07-2017, the petitioner produced the statement from internet banking through Account No.223210100010642 of the Andhra Bank. Therefore, we passed an order on 21-07-2017 to the following effect: "The application of the petitioner for admission to MBBS and BDS course for this academic year has not been entertained, on the ground that the fee of Rs.2,500/- payable for counseling/certificate verification was not paid. But, the case of the petitioner is that through internet banking from Account No.223210100010642 of the Andhra Bank, the money has been paid. The counsel for the University states, on instructions, that the money was not received. Since there is proof of payment, the University shall entertain the application of the petitioner, subject to further orders." Today, Mr. A.

Prabhakara Rao, learned standing counsel for the University submits that the payment has been verified and the petitioner has been admitted to counselling. Therefore, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive any more. Hence, the writ petition is closed.

VRS, J & TR, J W.P.No.24266 of 2017 As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
