THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.20514 of 2010 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to declare the action of the respondents in issuing the impugned order in Ref.No.2723/SECF1/2006-1, dated 14.05.2008, disqualifying the petitioners for a period of three years from the date of the order to contest in any election to be held for any office under provisions of the Hyderabad Municipal Act and as per Section 15(d) of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act 1965, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of principles of natural justice and consequential direct the 2nd respondent to drop all further proceedings pursuant to the impugned order in Ref.No.2723/SEC-F1/2006-1, dated 14.05.2008. 2.
On perusal of the material available on record, it is evident that the petitioners were disqualified for a period of three years to contest any elections to be held for any office under the provisions of the Hyderabad Municipal Act and now the said period is already completed. Hence, this Court is of the view that nothing survives in this matter for adjudication and, therefore, the matter may be dismissed as infructuous.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
