This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not conducting survey in respect of lands assigned for house site to the petitioners, situated in Survey No.842/1A, Ongole Town, in spite of the application filed by the petitioners. 2.

Now, a counter-affidavit is filed by the second respondent stating that though application was filed on 09.02.2009 by the petitioners, in the absence of any plot numbers, boundaries and names of neighbours, the lands of the petitioners could not be identified and a letter was addressed to the third respondent on 17.07.2010 requesting him to send Xerox copies of original pattas with plot numbers and details of neighbours for taking further action. The third respondent has not filed any counter-affidavit to the present Writ Petition. The property is stated to have been situated in urban area, within the jurisdiction of the second respondent. 3.

In the above circumstances, the third respondent is directed to give reply to letter of the second respondent, dated 17.07.2010, by supplying Xerox copies of the original pattas issued in favour of the petitioners, and if any pattas were issued in favour of the petitioners, appropriate communication be addressed to the second respondent. The third respondent shall pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As and when such communication is received, the second respondent shall take necessary action, within a period of four (04) weeks thereafter.
