HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.28510 of 2017 ORDER:

The action of respondent No.3 (Station House Officer, Musheerabad Police Station, Hyderabad), in calling the petitioners to the police station, is questioned in this Writ Petition as being illegal and arbitrary.

The grievance of the petitioners is that a constable from respondent No.3 - Police Station is calling them on phone and insisting to come over to the police station despite not having been involved in any illegal activity or crime. Learned Government Pleader for Home (TS), on written instructions, would submit that, one Ch.Pavani lodged a complaint with Musheerabad Police Station alleging that the son of petitioner No.1, having made relationship with her, refused to marry; on receipt of complaint, police made GD entry on 13.08.2017 and conducted preliminary enquiry; and the allegation, of police calling the petitioners to the police station, is denied.

Recording the submission of the Learned Government Pleader for Home that respondent No.3 is not calling the petitioners to the Musheerabad Police Station, Hyderabad, the Writ Petition is closed. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
