WRIT PETITION No.6173 of 2005 ORDER:

The petitioners in this case were appointed as casual Conductors in the service of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). By way of this writ petition, they sought regularisation of their services in the posts of Conductor Grade - II in accordance with the APSRTC Regulations.

Sri S.V.Ramana, learned standing counsel for the APSRTC, produced a copy of the proceedings dated 05.08.2015 issued by the Office of the Regional Manager, APSRTC, West Godavari Region, Eluru, indicating that the 13 petitioners herein were regularised in service on various dates in October, 2007, while one of them alone was regularised in service during July, 2009. The said proceedings also reflect that the petitioner who was regularised in service during July, 2009, was removed from service thereafter on the ground of unauthorised absence.

In the light of the aforestated facts, it is clear that the relief sought in this writ petition has already been granted. In the event the petitioners have any grievance with regard to their regularisation in service in the context of the APSRTC's Regulations, it shall be open to them to seek redressal thereof by way of independent proceedings, be it before the APSRTC authorities or before any other independent forum, in accordance with law.

Subject to the above liberty, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
