This petition is filed for the following relief; " .... to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus or any writ or direction declaring the action of the official respondents particularly respondents & in harassing the petitioners by calling the petitioners to Chintalapudi Police Station, West Godavari District, day in and day out and detaining the petitioners hours together and days together in the police station, without registering any case against the petitioners basing on the report allegedly given by the unofficial respondent No.6, dated 05-05-2018, is illegal, arbitrary, capricious and violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents 4 & 5 not to harass the petitioners in any manner by calling the petitioners to the police station, without following due process of law and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that the 6th respondent gave a petition to the 4th respondent on 10.05.2018; that the respondent No.4 has made GD entry of the same and made a call to the petitioners to come to the police station to know about the said petition; and that as the matter is civil in nature told the petitioners to approach the
concerned civil court. The allegation made by the petitioners that they were detained in the police station on 06.05.2018 and 10.05.2018 was denied.
Recording the aforesaid submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents not to call the petitioners to the police station, except in accordance with law. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
