Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.
2. The 3rd respondent seized a lorry bearing registration No.AP 05Y 0167 on 29.01.2015, on the ground that it was transporting PDS rice unauthorizedly. A case under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act was registered and was sent to the 2nd respondent. The petitioner submitted an application on 07.02.2015 for release of the said vehicle and as no orders were passed on the said application, the present writ petition is filed.
3. Though the learned Government Pleader was given time on 02.06.2015 for getting instructions, no instructions came forward till today.
4. In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the pending application of the petitioner for release of the vehicle within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
5. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________________ (A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO, J) 8th June, 2015
