THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K. LAKSHMAN I.A.Nos. 1 and 2 of 2020 IN/AND CRIMINAL PETITION No.7237 OF 2020 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 5 seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C.No.6095 of 2020 on the file of V Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar. The offences alleged against the petitioners are punishable under Sections 498A, 406 and 506 I.P.C and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

During the pendency of the present Criminal Petition, the parties have compromised the matter and, accordingly, respondent No.2/de facto complainant and the petitioners have filed I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2020 to record the compromise between respondent No.2 and petitioners by quashing the proceedings against the petitioners in the aforesaid Calendar Case.

Vide order, dated 08.01.2021, this Court, after recording the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2, directed the parties to appear before the Secretary, Telangana High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, for their identification and directed the Secretary, Telangana High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, to submit his report by 04.02.2021. In compliance of the order of this Court dated 08.01.2021, the Secretary, Telangana

High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, has submitted his report, dated 20.01.2021 to this Court.

In the report dated 20.01.2021 of Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, it is stated that on oral examination, respondent No.2 has stated that she has filed a complaint against the petitioners before the Station House Officer, Saroornagar Women Police Station, Rachakonda Commissionerate, and the same has been registered as a case in Crime.No.251 of 2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 406 and 506 I.P.C and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, and later it was numbered as C.C.No.6095 of 2020 on the file of V Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District, and that now she has compromised the matter with the petitioners and accordingly she has approached this Court for recording the compromise.

The parties herein have also filed a Joint Memo of Compromise dated 27.12.2020, wherein it is stated that they have compromised the matter amicably by executing a separate Memorandum of Compromise, dated 21.11.2020 and requested this Court to quash the proceedings against the petitioners herein in the aforesaid Calendar Case. The said Joint Memo of Compromise, dated 27.12.2020 and the report of the Secretary, Telangana High Court Legal Services Committee, Hyderabad, dated 20.01.2021, are placed on record.

In view the said report and also in view of the compromise entered between the petitioners and respondent No.2, I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2020 are allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is

allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.6095 of 2020 pending on the file of V Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar against the present petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 5 are hereby quashed.
