THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.36869 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners was that the Station House Officer, Hayathnagar Police Station, Ranga Reddy District, the second respondent, was calling them to the police station by sending Constables to their houses and making them sit in the police station from morning to evening. A consequential direction was sought to the second respondent not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners.

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Hayathnagar Police Station, Cyberabad, furnished written instructions dated 16.11.2015 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that one Harun Rajjak Jamadar lodged complaint dated 11.10.2015 with the Hayathnagar Police Station, Cyberabad, stating that his uncle by name Sattar Ahameed had gone missing. Basing on this complaint, Crime No.944 of 2015 was registered on the file of the said police station under the Head 'Man Missing'. According to the Sub-Inspector, the missing man was a friend of the petitioners and in the course of investigation, the police authorities have called them to the police station. He further stated that the petitioners did not approach the police station but in the meanwhile, the missing man was traced out on 12.11.2015 and steps were being taken to file a final report before the competent court. The petitioners' allegation that they were made to sit in the police station on the various dates mentioned by them was denied.

In the light of the afore-stated instructions, no adjudication is warranted in this writ petition as the cause for summoning the petitioners to the police station admittedly does not survive as the missing man has already surfaced. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
