Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for School Education for respondents. 2.

The request of the petitioners to grant notional seniority by treating their service as uninterrupted service is rejected by the District Educational Officer, vide his proceedings dated 11.05.2018.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners sought to contend that the rejection is on erroneous ground that petitioners were not continuously working, whereas, the facts on record would disclose that petitioners are continuously working. Therefore, they are entitled to computation of the entire service rendered by them towards seniority and this was not appreciated by the District Educational Officer. However, on 01.10.2018, petitioners made representation to the Principal Secretary, School Education Department and Commissioner & Director, School Education-2nd respondent, ventilating their grievance.

Against the decision of District Educational Officer, remedy of appeal is available. What is urged in this writ petition would be amounting to looking into the record on the issue of continuous working by the petitioners and the uninterrupted service rendered by them to compute the entire service for granting notional seniority. Therefore, the appellate authority will be in a better position to consider the said aspect while looking into the record and appreciate the same. In the circumstances, I deem it proper to dispose of the writ petition directing the Commissioner and

Director-2nd respondent to treat the representation made on 01.10.2018 by Sri A. Rajashekar Reddy, as appeal against the decision of District Educational Officer, dated 11.05.2018, consider the objections filed by petitioners and pass orders, as warranted by law, within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioners. 5.
