This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not investigating the unnatural death of the husband of the petitioner on 28.03.2015.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that initially the case was registered under Section 174 Cr.P.C. and later during the course of investigation, the section of law was altered to 302 of IPC on 20.11.2018. He further submits that the suspects named by the petitioner were thoroughly interrogated and they were also subjected to Lie Detector Test (Polygraph Test), but no clues were forthcoming. He further submits that the Investigating Officer now changed.
Since the offence is of the year 2015 and almost more than 2 1⁄2 years have elapsed, the concerned Investing Officer is directed to take necessary steps for filing charge sheet/final report, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
