This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is preferred by the appellant/claimant against the judgment and decree dated 09.06.2003, passed in O.P.No.227 of 1998, by the Chairman, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (District Judge), Nizamabad (for brevity "the Tribunal"), seeking enhancement of compensation, as the Tribunal has granted a sum of Rs.5,000/- towards compensation, as against the claim of Rs.50,000/- laid by the appellant/petitioner under Section 166(1)(a) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

As there was no representation for the appellant on 09.08.2016, the matter was directed to be listed today under the caption "FOR DISMISSAL".
3. Even today, despite the matter being listed under the caption "FOR DISMISSAL", there is no representation for the appellant. It appears that the appellant is not interested in pursuing the matter.
4. Hence, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is dismissed for nonprosecution. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
