THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 24851 OF 2017 O R D E R:

The grievance of the petitioner is that there is no progress in the investigation in Crime No.175 of 2011, registered on the file of Kakatiya University Campus Police Station, Warangal Urban District.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) placed before this Court the instructions, dated 03.08.2017, received from the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Kakatiya University Campus Police Station and submits that the final report bearing C.No.184/SDPO-HNK/2012 was filed before the Principal District Munsif, Warangal on 10.06.2012. She has made available a copy of the final report to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner categorically asserts that the copy of the final report was not made available to the petitioner, at any point of time. Therefore, he submits that the petitioner may be permitted to file a protest petition against the final report, dated 10.06.2012.

Having considered the respective submissions, this Court is of the opinion that subject to verification of the assertion made on behalf of the petitioner that the copy of the final report was not furnished, the petitioner shall be entitled to take appropriate steps

in accordance with the procedure contemplated under Section 173 Cr.P.C. with respect to the final report. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any shall stand closed. No costs.
