THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.5634 of 2018 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code (for short "Cr.P.C.") to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.40 of 2016 pending on the file of I Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kothagudem, Khammam District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, against the petitioner.

The petitioner though raised various grounds in the petition, during arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner requested the Court to issue a direction to the Court below to complete the trial within three months as the petitioner is ready to face the trial. In view of the request made by learned counsel for the petitioner, without touching the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to direct the Court below to complete the trial of the case as expeditiously as possible in any event, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
