The counsel for the petitioner submits that the issue pertains to claiming promotion from Non-Executive post to Executive post and many of the juniors of the petitioner have been promoted. The petitioner has retired from service under voluntary retirement scheme and the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive. 2.

Recording the same, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
