When the matter is taken up for hearing, Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents had informed the Court that the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer, and during pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner was promoted as Assistant Engineer. In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In view of the submissions made by the Standing Counsel, this Court is of the considered view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive.
