THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.21284 OF 2019 O R D E R :

Petitioner's grievance is that he had made a representation on 27.05.2019 to the 4th respondent for correction of revenue records by deleting the name of the 5th respondent in respect of the subject land, and that the 4th respondent has not taken any action thereon.

Counsel for the petitioner also places reliance on the judgment of this Court in Sannepalli Nageswar Rao and another v. District Collector, Khammam and others1 wherein it is held that when there is tampering of record, the appropriate remedy is to approach the 4th respondent only for amendment and updation of Record of Rights under Section 5 of Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971, but not before the 3rd respondent.

The Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents 1 to 4 states that the 4th respondent will dispose of the said representation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of 1 2002(4) ALD 497(DB)

receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision to the petitioner. No order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
