HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.6685 of 2003 ORDER :

None appeared for petitioner when the case is called, inspite of the fact that the writ petition is listed under the caption "for dismissal".

A perusal of record discloses that the petitioner had challenged G.O.Ms.No.484, dated 24.12.2002, whereby, the selections were cancelled on the allegations of large scale irregularities.

Whenever large scale irregularities are noticed in the selections, the only option for the respondents is to cancel the selections. Therefore, this Court is of the considered view that the respondents have rightly cancelled the selections and this Court cannot interfere when the selections were cancelled on the allegations of large scale irregularities.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
