HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITON No. 10933 of 2003 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to declare G.O.Ms.No.484, dated 24.12.2002 issued by respondent No.1 as illegal and arbitrary and a consequential direction to respondents to proceed with the selection process pursuant to the written examination conducted on 11.08.2002.

When the matter came up for hearing, none appeared for petitioner.

A perusal of G.O.Ms.No.484, dated 24.12.202 discloses that the Government had cancelled the selections on the ground that large scale irregularities had occurred in the selection process. If that be the case, as the Government has every right to cancel the selections, the relief sought for in the writ petition cannot be adjudicated. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ Petition shall stand closed.
