ORAL ORDER:

Petitioner is wife of late V Ramesh who worked as conductor and died on 10.4.2017 while in service. Petitioner is blessed with daughter aged 19 years prosecuting her Engineering course and son aged 17 years prosecuting his Intermediate course. Petitioner applied for provision of appointment on compassionate grounds. It appears no response was given to the request made by the petitioner. As a final resort, petitioner issued a legal notice on 13.7.2019. Alleging inaction even after issuing legal notice, this writ petition is filed.

Since legal notice issued by petitioner is pending consideration, without going into the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the Regional Manager-3rd respondent to consider the legal notice dated 13.7.2019 as a representation of petitioner, examine the eligibility of petitioner for provision of appointment on compassionate grounds and take appropriate decision as warranted by law within four weeks and if the representation is already disposed of, decision may be communicated to the petitioner and if petitioner found to be eligible for provision of appointment on compassionate grounds, appointment should be provided expeditiously. 3.

Subject to above, writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
