THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 33136 of 2017 Order:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the second respondent in not preventing the unauthorized installation of the idol of Boddurai (Grama Devatha) on the road in front of the house of the petitioner bearing House No.15-7-61, situated at Ramannapet, Warangal Municipal Corporation, Warangal, by the fourth respondent. Though this Court, by order dated 04.10.2017, directed all the parties in the Writ Petition to maintain status quo with regard to installation of any idol, it is now stated that the idol was installed. In the circumstances, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition does not survive. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to submit a representation to the appropriate authorities either for removal of the idol already installed or for taking action against the persons responsible for installation of idol.

As and when such representation is made by the petitioner, the concerned authority shall take necessary action. It is open to the petitioner to take further steps in that regard. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
