HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No.46297 of 2016 Order:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the inaction of the respondents in completing the investigation in Crime No.122 of 2015. Learned Government Pleader, on the basis of written instructions, submits that after registration of the case in Crime No.122 of 2015 on 28.09.2015, as many as eleven (11) witnesses were examined and their statements were recorded. They did not corroborate the contents of the FIR. The Medical Officer, who issued the wound certificate, opined that the injuries are simple in nature. The complainant lodged false complaint against the accused persons levelling false allegations and the SubDivisional Police Officer, Ongole accorded permission on 29.06.2016 to refer the case as 'false'. The then Sub-Inspector of Police served a notice to the complainant on 06.08.2016.

The new Sub-Inspector of Police, Chimakurthy Police Station, Prakasam District stated that after assuming charge he is taking steps to file final report before the concerned Court. In view of the same, no further orders are necessary in the present Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
