HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 11251 of 2001 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not paying regular time scale to the petitioners on par with the regular employees and also in trying to terminate their services, as illegal and arbitrary. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported by the learned standing counsel for the 1st respondent University that the 2nd petitioner is not working with the 2nd respondent University. It is also informed that the 1st petitioner herein along with others had filed W.P.No.7614 of 2018 seeking similar relief as sought in the present writ petition. On 08.03.2018, this Court passed an interim order in I.A.No.1 of 2018 in W.P.No.7614 of 2018 directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.10.

2017 within eight weeks and communicate its decision to the petitioners therein. In view of the submission made by the learned standing counsel for the 1st respondent University, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and, therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
