THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.24089 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not appointing the Town Vending Committee in compliance of Sec.22 of The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 despite of representation dated 06/06/2017 submitted by the petitioner Union as arbitrary, illegal and unjustified and also contrary to the provisions of The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and in violation of the principle held by Hon'ble Apex Court and for a consequential direction to the respondents to appoint town vending committee in compliance of Sec.22 of the said Act."

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner requested the Court to direct the respondents to consider the representation, dated 06.06.2017, of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation, dated 06.06.2017, of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

5.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
