Adepu Arjun Kumar v. The State Of Telangana
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITON No.18489 of 2018 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of respondent No.3 in calling the petitioner and his parents to the police station and making them to sit in the police station for whole day by depriving their personal liberty. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that when complaint is received from the 4th respondent, who is the wife of the petitioner on 19-03-2018 that the petitioner and his parents were harassing her demanding additional dowry. The same was forwarded to the Women Police Station, Karimnagar for counseling of the parties. As of now, no case is registered against the petitioner. It is stated that the respondents never called the petitioner to the police station on 18-04-2018 and 24-04-2018 and never made the petitioner and his parents to sit in the police station for whole day and never threatened them.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after filing writ petition, the police are calling the petitioner and his parents and making them to sit there.
It is to be seen that when the matter was referred to Women Police Station for counseling, the 3rd respondent cannot once again ask the petitioner and his parents to come to police station.
In view of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed not to call the petitioner and his parents to the police station, since no crime is registered against the petitioner. As and when the presence of petitioner and his parents is required in any crime, the same can be called for in accordance with law. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J 19-06-2018 Nvl
