This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 and 3 in not finalizing the selections made on 11.03.2003 for the post of Professor of Theatre Arts, as illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation and at this point of time there cannot be any direction to the respondents and the cause in the writ petition does not survive.
