The allegation in the writ petition is that in spite of the fact that the petitioner-M/ s Zitan Trading Corporation, had made an application for issuance of Certificate of Origin of goods stored (red sanders) at licensed godown of the Forest Officials, the application has not been disposed of till date in terms of Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification No.12/ 2015-2020, dated 29.07.2019. Learned Government Pleader had placed on record the letter Rc.No.5317/ 2014/ Prod.1, dated 27.09.2019, addressed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests to the Government Pleaders Office. It is stated in the said letter that, as per the information provided on the application of the petitioner, their office has addressed a letter dated 25.09.2019 to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Andhra Pradesh, to verify the genuineness of red sander logs and its transportation through transit permit issued by the A.P. Forest Department, and also its other details, to enable the 3rd respondent to take a decision.

Inasmuch as the process has already been initiated on the application submitted by the petitioner, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the process of verification and communicate the decision to the petitioner, within a period of four (4) weeks from today. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
