This writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in attempting to remove the name board "Bapuji Nagar" which was erected in the year 2003 at the entrance of the petitioner's colony covered by Sy.No.78 of Srinivasapuram Village, Jangareddi Gudem Mandal by changing the name in spite of its reorganisation by the resolution of the Grama Sabha dated 29.11.2003 of Srinivasapuram Gram Panchayat, without conducting enquiry and without passing any orders, as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents not to remove the name board of the petitioner's colony and rename the same.
While admitting the writ petition, this Court granted interim order on 12.12.2012.
No counter is filed by the respondents.
Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as of now there is no threat as alleged in the writ affidavit.
Heard Sri Ravi Cheemalapati, learned Standing counsel appearing for respondents 4 and 5.
Recording the aforesaid submission, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to take necessary steps in case the respondents again make an attempt to remove the name board. No costs.
