ORAL ORDER:
Petitioner challenges the charge memo dated 9.3.2018 on the ground of long pendency of the disciplinary proceedings and on the ground of pending disciplinary proceedings, not considering him for promotion to the post of Mandal Parishad Development Officer. On instructions, learned standing counsel representing third respondent Zilla Praja Parishad submitted that if sufficient time is granted, enquiry will be completed expeditiously. Learned counsel for petitioner also agrees for completion of disciplinary proceedings within a time limit. 2.
Recording the submissions of respective counsel, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to ensure that disciplinary proceedings are concluded within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Petitioner shall also cooperate for early disposal of the disciplinary proceedings. If for any reason, petitioner does not cooperate for early disposal of disciplinary proceedings, it is open to the third respondent to proceed further in the matter in accordance with rules and complete the disciplinary proceedings.
Further, If disciplinary proceedings are not concluded within the time stipulated above, the third respondent would be held personally liable. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
