ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/A4 seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.66 of 2016 of Burgampahad Police Station, Khammam District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 506 IPC, against her.

2. A1 is the husband of the de facto complainant. It is alleged in the complaint that A1 with the support of his family members i.e., A2 to A4 used to harass the de facto complainant physically and mentally by demanding additional dowry of Rs.5 lakhs and threaten her with dire consequences. Based on the complaint, the aforesaid crime was registered against A1 to A4.

3. In view of the allegations made in the complaint and also the nature of proceedings, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting the petitioner/A4 and file a final report, if any.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
