Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Transport.

Petitioner claims that he is the owner of Maxi Cab vehicle bearing No.AP 23 Y 3024. Petitioner wants to convert the said vehicle to Omni bus to run it as private vehicle and he claims to have made a representation on 19.07.2019 requesting for conversion. Alleging inaction on the representation, this writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there are instances where straight away such conversion was permitted and vehicles were registered as per the conversion status. 4.
This Court is not expressing any opinion on the aspect whether the vehicle can be converted from Maxi Cabs to Omni. 5.
Since petitioner has already submitted representation on 19.07.2019, for conversion of Maxi Cab to Omni Bus, the competent authority shall consider the request for such conversion as permissible, and take a decision in accordance with law. A decision to that affect shall be taken and communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
