Heard both sides.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent No.2 in involving in civil disputes and obtaining an undertaking by detaining the petitioners in police station at the instance of respondent No.3, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent No.2 is interfering with civil disputes between the petitioners and the unofficial respondent. 4.

Learned Government Pleader on instructions submits that the allegations made in the writ petition are false and that they never called the petitioners to the police station. 5.

Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made across the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 not to interfere with the civil disputes between the parties, except in accordance with law. No costs. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
