HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI W.P.No.21617 OF 2019

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue a Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondent Nos.2 and 3 in not considering my candidature in the final selection list dated 06.09.2019 in spite of my splendid and meritorious performance in all the tests, certificate verification as illegal, arbitrary, unjust, violative of Articles 14, 15 and 16 of the Constitution of India and violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents to consider my candidature in the final selection list dated 06.09.2019 in the interest of justice and pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

Heard Sri Kowturu Pavan Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Sri Zakir Ali Danish, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3. It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to the notification dated 16.2.2018, he has applied for the post of Junior Lineman. Though he has fared well in the selection process and qualified in the pole climbing test, his name did not appear in the final selection list. Hence, he submitted a representation dated 7.9.2019 to the respondents requesting them to consider his case for appointment to the post of

Junior Lineman by duly taking into consideration the merit. But, so far, no orders have been passed by the respondents. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman by duly passing orders on the representation dated 7.9.2019 submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representation dated 7.9.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 7.9.2019 submitted by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
