THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 35849 of 2014 Order: (per Sri Sanjay Kumar,J) This Writ Petition was filed by the Association of Court Masters and Personal Secretaries to the Hon'ble Judges, High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, with the following prayer: "to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS (i) declaring the proviso 1 and 2 to the method of recruitment to the post of Assistant Registrar (Category IV) of Rule 5 of A.P. High Court Service Rules as arbitrary and irrational; (ii) consequently direct the respondents to promote the members belonging to the Category VI (Court Masters) as Assistant Registrars in the ratio of 1:1 without prescribing any further cap on the promotions from Category VI (Court Masters) and pass such other order or orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."

The High Court filed a counter through the Registrar General wherein it stated in paragraph 8 that the representations received by the Registry from various persons, including the members of the petitioner-Association, were directed by the Hon'ble The Chief Justice, on the administrative side, to be put up after submission of the report of the Pay Revision Commission along with the objections received from other service associations.

It is therefore clear that the grievances of the petitionerAssociation and other associations, including the fourth respondent

herein, would be addressed by the Hon'ble The Chief Justice, on the administrative side, after the submission of the report by the Pay Revision Commission.

In that view of the matter, Sri G. Vidya Sagar, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner-Association, fairly states that the Writ Petition may be closed in terms of the above averment in the counter-affidavit so that representations and objections of all concerned may be considered by the Hon'ble The Chief Justice on the administrative side at the relevant point of time after submission of the report of the Pay Revision Commission.

The Writ Petition is accordingly closed in terms of the aforestated stand taken by the High Court in its counter. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No costs.
