Akula Praveen, v. The State Of Telangana,

2017-04-04A Ramalingeswara Rao2 pages

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 11102 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of respondent Nos.2 to 5 in not considering the representation, dated 23.03.2017, submitted by the petitioners for grant of permission to conduct Shobha Yathra on the eve of Sri Rama Navami between 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on 05.04.2017.

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents submits that the route proposed by the petitioners covers very sensitive areas where offences took place on previous occasions and respondent Nos.2 to 5 suggested alternative route. In the absence of any sketch or evidence before this Court, this Court cannot direct the respondents or the petitioners to follow a particular route.

In the circumstances and in view of paucity of time, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to approach respondent No.3 and settle the route, and if there is consensus with regard to the route, necessary protection shall be provided. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________ A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO,J Dt:04.04.2017 Note: Issue cc today.
