This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to quash the proceedings in Crime No.138 of 2018 of Bhimavaram I Town Police Station, Bhimavaram, West Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, against petitioners/A2 and A3.

Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Public Prosecutor representing the State.

In view of the order of this Court dated 31.07.2017 in Crl.P.No.6493 of 2017, relying upon the latest two Judge Bench expression of the Apex Court dated 27.07.2017 in Crl.A.No.1265 of 2017 (SLP (Crl.) No.2013 of 2017 in Rajesh Sharma and others v State of U.P and another, this is a fit case to refer the matter to the Committee for report to consider any reconciliation.

Having regard to the above and as per the directions of the Apex Court, this Criminal Petition is disposed of while directing the Investigating Officer to investigate, but not to arrest the petitioners/A2 and A3 unless report of the Committee on its constitution is received, however, this order does not prevent him from securing for interrogation as part of investigation. Pending miscellaneous petitions in the petition, if any, shall stand closed.
