Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Y.V. Ravi Prasad, learned Standing Counsel for the 3rd respondent.

This writ petition is filed questioning the cessation of the Managing Committee by the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative societies, Tirupathi, vide order dated 31.03.2012.

The petitioners are the Managing Committee Members of TTD Employees

Cooperative Credit Society Limited. Elections to the said Society were conducted pursuant to the notification dated 24.12.2007 and the term of the office of the Managing Committee was for a period of five years, which would be completed by December 2012. The grievance of the petitioners is that even before completion of the term of office the Deputy Rgistrar of Cooperative Societies, Tirupathi, vide proceedings dated 31.03.2012, ordered cessation of Managing Committee of the Society on the ground that the Society is not functioning properly by conducting General Body Meetings etc. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. This Court while admitting the writ petition on 04.04.2012 suspended the order of cessation making it clear that the interim order shall not enable the petitioners to continue after expiry of the term.

In as much as the term of the Managing Committee of the petitioners-society itself came to an end by December, 2012, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs. _____________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J.
