THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No. 22102 OF 2019 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 2nd and 3rd respondents/Public Information Officer (PIO) in not furnishing the information requested under Right to Information Act, 2005, vide application dated 22.04.2019 by the petitioner. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that inspite of applications dated 22.04.2019, 05.08.2019 and 24.09.2019, respondent authorities have not furnished the required information.

On the other hand learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that petitioner has alternate remedy; and that inspite of availing the said remedy, petitioner filed the present writ petition. In this case, the petitioner has already filed applications under the Right to Information Act, seeking information and respondents are bound to pass order.

In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the competent authority to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 22.04.2019, 05.08.2019 and 24.09.2019, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and take action in accordance with law. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
