This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief : " To issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the claim of the petitioner for appointment to the post of LDC in the operation circle, Karimnagar from among the casual labour/village electrical workers and contract labour as arbitrary and discriminatory and consequently direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner to the post of LDC in the operation circle, Karimnagar pending selection process with all consequential benefits."

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that at the time of admission, interim order was granted on 29.11.2002 directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to attend the interview which was scheduled to be held on 31.12.2002. The main prayer in the writ petition is to consider the claim of the petitioner to the post of L.D.C., in the Operation Circle, Karimnagar District.

In view of the above, if the case of the petitioner is considered for appointment to the post of L.D.C., his appointment shall not be disturbed and if he is not selected to the said post, then the same should be communicated to the petitioner by the respondents . With the above observation, the writ petition is closed. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
