When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent had informed this Court that the 1st respondent has retired from service in the year 2011 itself and hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents had informed this Court that the petitioner has also retired from service.

Since the petitioner as well as the contesting respondent have retired from service, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and hence, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
